Who are we?
We are 2 doctors with a passion for life. Ginny is a paediatrician and Keith is a General Practitioner. We undertook our postgraduate training in the North East of England before heading out to Zanzibar, Tanzania in 1994 for 2 years to work for Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO). On our return to the UK in 1996, we vowed to work hard in the NHS and then retire early to work overseas again.

Keith worked as a principal in Primary Care at Herrington Medical Centre, Houghton le Spring for 24 years. Ginny completed her paediatric training and then worked for 17 years as a consultant paediatrician at South Tees NHS Trust.

In 2016, whilst celebrating our 50th birthdays in South Luangwa, Zambia, we came across the Valley Doctor job. It seemed like the ideal post for us - volunteering in a beautiful part of the world. So in 2021, we retired from our NHS posts to embark on a 6 month adventure in Zambia as the South Luangwa valley doctors.
